Product Specialist - Permitting

Description 

The Schneider Geospatial Product Specialist will set up new clients with Schneider Geospatial’s online permit tracking SaaS product, working closely with client contacts to ensure a smooth implementation. Setup activities are followed by client training, workflow documentation, and software configuration to ensure the system will successfully meet or exceed the client’s needs. 

Following implementation, our Product Specialist provides excellent remote customer service for clients to ensure success with their products.  An ideal candidate will use problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues and provide user guidance related to our software products and related technologies.

  • Direct engagement with client organizations and their users to understand their processes and integrate our software solutions to improve those processes

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration and deployment of SaaS product updates for new and existing clients
  • Project tracking and status reporting to clients
  • Respond to client support requests, phone calls and emails in a timely manner
  • Support case tracking, documentation, and status reporting to clients
  • Development of documentation and other reference materials to be used for implementation, training, and support
  • Train clients on how to use their Schneider Geospatial SimpliCITY software products
  • Excellent communication, enunciation, and grammar skills (in the English language) are highly important

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or Certificate in Community/Regional Planning, Construction Management and Inspection, Public Administration, or related field. 
  • One year or more of Permit Software Management/Administration experience is preferred
  • Strong desire to successfully and enthusiastically support software that is being used to solve customer problems
  • Solid understanding of municipal permitting and inspection programs is a strong plus
  • Experience with local government (county and municipal) operations, especially pertaining to permitting & licensing, inspections, and/or code enforcement
  • Experience with Schneider Geospatial’s SimpliCITY software products is a strong plus
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) is a plus
  • Preference will be given to candidates located in the New England region of the U.S.

  • One year or more of GIS software experience is preferred.  
  • Two years of public works asset management implementation, training and support preferred. 
  • Strong desire to successfully and enthusiastically support software that is being used to solve customer problems. 
  • Experience with local government (county and municipal) operations, especially pertaining to infrastructure and asset management. 
  • Strong understanding of asset life cycle management, the impact of formal inspection and preventative maintenance programs on long-term capital programming, and the mathematics that support asset capital planning is a plus. 
  • Experience with Schneider Geospatial’s SimpliCITY software products is a strong plus. 
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) is a plus.
